Infection Control Policy – Prime Care Home

  • Prime Care Home is committed to maintaining a clean, hygienic, and safe environment to protect residents, families, and staff from infections and diseases.

  • We maintain cleanliness and prevent infections through the following:

  • Strict daily cleaning and sanitation of all rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and equipment.

  • Use of appropriate disinfectants and approved cleaning solutions.

  • Proper waste disposal and handling of contaminated materials.

  • Mandatory hand hygiene for staff, residents, and visitors.

  • Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as gloves, masks, aprons, and hair covers when required.

  • Regular laundering of bedding, towels, and residents’ clothing using hygienic procedures.

  • Immediate cleaning and disinfection after any spills, accidents, or bodily fluid exposure.

  • Isolation procedures for residents who show signs of infection, when necessary.

  • Health screening for staff and visitors when required.

  • Ongoing staff training on infection prevention and control.
